The sight of green compost bins has become almost commonplace here in San Francisco. They have appeared in food courts, street fairs, and now in movie theaters. All this effort towards composting is certainly extremely good. But one price of adding composting to the already existing mix of recycling versus garbage, has been an increase in confusion.
