Children were made to look their best for the event
Sadly the Stock Exchange was now an Athletic Club
They did celebrate with a Sock Exchange
The only fear, the next bubble to burst
They gathered on the sunlit grassy area
The church drum with logo lay ready to pound
Seriously silly costumes began to arrive
One poor man had to re-apply his ear
A couple rested in advance of the long march
Sadly, signs were laid upside down on the lawn
Funny signs were seen everywhere
Nobody dared accuse him of an insincere smile
A more well-phrased sign could not be imagined
One man's expression closely paralleled his shirt
The ever present Doggie Diner dogs were ever present
He wore a coat of many colors
She wore an Arabic head piece with a feather boa
They were the perfectly mismatched couple
And Lo, so began the 31st parade
A fierce beat rallied the holy crowd
One man illustrated the parade's thoughtful planning
Bishop Joey (with drum) led the parade onto Market Street
Another sign of the down-turned economy
A ledgimate protest in a silly costume
And Lo, they arrived at the Federal Reserve Bank
They knelt to pay respect to so much waste
One girl rode her noble steed to the event
She had not one, but three feathers in her cap
And Lo, the parade next moved up California Street
A brief pause at the statue of the Bare-Butt Mechanic
A musical interlude laid calm to rumors
He spoke of landfill and bedrock, and they listened
He offered but a single flower in alms
She caught the thrown ball neatly on her nose
An apt hat disguised his secret texting
He looked left with cool attention
The blue/green man finally noticed the camera
One man calmly awaited the parade to continue
Business men told to, "Go back to work."
And Lo, Bishop Joey led them down into the valley
The bold and the meek waited together for the word
The church logo adorned his vestments
And the word was, "Sit down and rest."
And Lo, they all sat and rested
The sign tilted for it too wanted to rest
The parade began to march once again
One sign claimed Bankers Prosper
